What do I need to do so I can vote?

Anyone 16 or over will be able to vote in the Senedd Elections this year for the first time, after Senedd Members voted to change the rules in Wales. But you still have to register.

You have to make sure you are on the electoral register held by the local authority where you live.

It’s very straightforward – just visit this website to sign up before 19th April.

Just about everyone who lives in Wales – wherever you were born - can register to vote. This includes anyone from other countries around the world who have permission to live here.

Get registered on gov.uk

Register to vote by 19 April 2021. If you don’t register in time, you won’t get to vote in the Senedd Elections on  6 May, and you won’t get to have your say in your future and the future of Wales.

Head over to the Gov.uk website to register your vote today. It only takes 5 minutes!
